The Philippine Skating Union attended the the 54th
Ordinary Congress of the International Skating Union last 11th-15th
June 2012. The PSU was represented by its President Manuel “Pocholo” Veguillas
assisted by Noel Resultay of SM International Skating Rinks.
Over 200 delegates from 76 ISU member federations
voted on 340 proposals regarding policies and competition rules both in Figure
Skating and Speed Skating. This was the 2nd time for an Asian
Country to host the ISU Congress. The first was in Kyoto, Japan.
The next International Skating Union Congress will
be held at Dublin Ireland on June 2014.
