“THE PRINCESS AND I” PREMIERES ON APRIL 16 (MONDAY) ON ABS-CBN

Be mesmerized by the newest Primetime Bida T V series of ABS-CBN entitled “The Princess and I” that will be seen on your T V screen on Monday (April 16) with a full house cast of  Albert Martinez, Gretchen Barreto, Dominic Ochoa, Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos, Daniel Padilla, Precious Lara Quigaman and Kathryn Bernardo.

Explore the majestic country of Bhutan where a big portion of this T V series was taken and shot. It took the whole cast and the production team almost two weeks in Bhutan to shoot just a portion of this T V series where they all experienced the beauty and the mysticism of this country. It was here where this fairytale drama unfolds where King Anand (Albert Martinez) and his daughter princess (Katryn Bernardo) will separate ways by a tragic event that will forever change their lives.

During the press conference of the T V series “The Princess and I”, the cast including the two directors; Francis Pasion and Dado Lumibao were asked why they chose the country of Bhutan in shooting this T V series and not other countries out there. They replied that it was the decision of the ABS-CBN creative team to shoot this T V series in Bhutan following the instruction from Mr. Lopez who had been in Bhutan and fell in love with that country. And because of that trip, Mr. Lopez mentioned that country to his staff telling them….why don’t you make a story  about this beautiful country…….and so it was, the T V series “The Princess and I” was born out from the meticulous minds of the ABS-CBN creative team.

In their two weeks stay in Bhutan, Katryn Bernardo, who is now considered as the new princess of Primetime Bida, came to know better her co-stars and bonded with them especially Enrique Gil who is one of her leading man in the said T V series….making an easyness for her to work comfortably with them.

Be there when it happens on April 16 (Monday) on your T V screen in ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida. For more updates, log on to www.abs-cbn.com

“KUNG AKO’Y IIWAN MO” TV SERIES (WILL BE SEEN ON APRIL 16 ON YOUR T V SCREEN)

Watch out for the newest and one of the most emotionally-filled drama series ABS-CBN has ever produced as of the present time….entitled “KUNG AKO’Y IIWAN MO” that will be seen on your T V screen on April 16 nationwide and on the TFC channel. This is one of a kind T V drama series that many Filipinos will surely relate to in terms of their personal lives…..as this story talks about a family whose father became an Overseas Filipino Worker, who left his loved ones in the Philippines to earn a decent living to sustain his family and to put his children in school….not minding the hardships, the loneliness that besets him...being far from his loved ones…..leaving his children at a very young age where his presence is needed the most. And what worse could it get that the father who labored so much to feed his family….will come back to his family in a coffin...as a dead person. What a tragic event this is in the life of an OFW family that many Filipino families identified themselves with…for they, themselves have a family working abroad and went through the same fate exactly as the story in this T V drama series “KUNG AKO’Y IIWAN MO” tells us.

This T V drama story focuses on the love story of a second generation of an OFW family whose children were influenced by their own parents working abroad. In this teleserye you will see how Sarah, whose role is being played by Shaina Magdayao, who will do everything for love….to the point of swallowing her pride, and putting her reputation and self-respect on the line. Sharing with the same sentiment…is Mia, whose role is being played by Bangs Garcia, who is also from an OFW family, who is willing to sacrifice everything to win back the favor of his beloved Paul, whose role is being played by Jake Cuenca.

This newest Kapamilya Gold series is a gift of ABS-CBN to its viewers in celebrating its first year anniversary of Kapamilya Gold.

In this story, the T V audience will see a different Shaina Magdayao, Bangs Garcia and Jake Cuenca not only because of the mature role they played in this TV series, but more importantly by the way they act in a manner that only a mature or a veteran artist can do.

Lastly, this drama series does not dissuade or persuade a Filipino from going abroad, but rather admonishing every Filipino to take all the necessary precautions in working abroad for their own safety and for their families that will be left behind.

ERICK SANTOS RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘BAKIT MAHAL PA RIN KITA’

Erick Santos dubbed as the Philippine music’s Ultimate Serenader will be releasing his new album entitled ‘Bakit Mahal Pa Rin Kita’ that will be distributed nationwide by Star Records Inc. It’s an album with 14 OPM songs, where 9 are original and 5 are cover songs. With its heart-warming and inspiring songs that are included in this album, surely, this new album will go a long long way.

Erick Santos is one of the few balladeers of our time that is making a mark in the music industry. A lot of people know that when Erick sings, he sings from the core of his heart. And to Erick, singing a song is like telling a story to his audience. And his goal is to let his audience understand and feel what he is telling them.

During the bloggers event for Erick Santos that was held recently at Kitchen Cakes and Coffee restaurant in Tomas Morato, he (Erick Santos) proudly introduces his new album that according to him is very special. “It is special not just because its my own album, but because in this album there is a song where I personally written all the words from the first stanza to the last of it.” Erick said.

Erick was able to write a song primarily because, he himself loves listening to love songs, and this is where he draws his inspiration in writing a song.

In his journey as a singer, Erick Santos would like to follow the footsteps of Basil Valdez, who as a balladeer has made a lot of timeless songs that are well loved by a lot of Filipinos here and abroad.

Erick Santos has done a lot of concerts in the past, and some of the most memorable ones for him are of course the Power Icon concert where he was able to perform in front of the jam-packed audience at the Music Museum for two consecutive days. Another one is the concert he did five years ago in Araneta coliseum where he did a lot of difficult things on stage like singing while dancing which he is not accustomed to do, nonetheless, he was able to do it with flying colors.....And in doing concerts or just simply performing in a T V show and in other places, Erick Santos makes it sure that he always do his best by preparing and practicing a lot….for he believes in the phrase that says: “A singer is just as good as his or her last performance.”

PYROMUSICAL @ SM BY THE BAY AT MALL OF ASIA (ITALY AND PHILIPPINES)

At the culmination of the 3rd International Pyromusical Competition, Italy and our very own country Philippines beautified the sky with its magnificent fireworks of art as it went up in the air together with a music that is synchronically tuned to the movement of the fireworks in the sky. Truly, it’s such an amazing thing that explosives can be controlled and manipulated on the air, not only when it comes to timing, but also as to where it will explode in the air.

During the program proper, the country of Italy first performed and delighted the crowd with their outstanding fireworks display. After Italy’s great performance, the organizer in no time announced the winners of the 3rd International Pyromusical Competition. And here is the list of winners: The country of Netherlands took the 2nd runner-up slot, Australia and Finland making a tie on the first runner-up position and just as many of us are expecting, the beautiful country of Canada took home the grand prize and proclaimed as the grand winner of the said competition.

Just right after the announcement of winners….the moment that all has been waiting for has come…..the grand exhibition of our very own country, the Philippines, with flags raised up and being waived on the air, with shirts worn with the map of the Philippines on it….showing support to our country. The Philippines made its grand entrance in the sky with its fabulous fireworks accompanied by a patriotic song entitled “PILIPINO AKO” sang by no other than the boxing champ “Manny Pacquiao.” With the Philippines grand performance combined with a soul-ringing patriotic song…it just makes every one of us who were there watching the event….proud of being a Filipino.

In wrapping up, with the excitement that the Pyromusical Competition brings, with the beauty of fireworks that it displayed and with the tens of thousands in attendance that it draws/n to witness to see the event, we, together with a lot of people cannot wait to see the next International Pyromusical Competition that will be held next year in the same place that will surely bring more fireworks tricks and attractions to all of the Filipinos and non-Filipinos alike.
